What are good board games for Youngsters?

I am putting together a Christmas wish list for my son's grandparents. He's 4 and I am wondering what some of your kids' favorite board games are? Chutes & Ladders, Whack a Mole, Connect 4, etc. Games that he can grow into are great too. THANKS!

    Dude it’s snakes and ladders. Come ON no one fears a chute, they fear SNAKES

    Try monopoly, it’s what I loved when I was little

    i don’t have kids cause i sorta am 1 well a teenager anyway but i like Mouse Trap and Hungry Hippo

    Chutes & Ladders and Sorry. Excellent board games. Played them when I was a kid. I am now 53 and still enjoy both games with my nephews and my friend’s grandchildren.

    don’t break the ice, ants in your pants, cranium games, etc
